The focus for film music composition
as well as album production stems from his never ending dedication as a
self taught guitarist, keyboardist, drummer, vocalist, string and percussion
instrument performer. Michael has a unique mixture of ROMANTIC PERIOD AND
LATE RENAISSANCE Orchestration or ORIGINAL SCORES with various undertones
of WORLD MUSIC, BLUES, CLASSICAL and SPANISH accents with a mainstream but futuristic contemporary
orchestral approach to songwriting and instrumental movements. With his
PERSONALIZED UNIQUE SOUND, composition, sound design with dynamic
performances comes forth with heartfelt movements. When a visual film scene is
available to compose directly to Michael is very detailed and passionate as a
composer with grand piano, electronic keyboards, string and percussive instruments.
Michael’s first choice is to actually perform the part in real time, thus
bringing a very human feel to the project with solid emotion.

Princess Cruises: Son written and composed by Michael Smith, “Where I
belong” Won fifth place in Song of the Year Songwriting contest. Audio-video
DVD production was under consideration to become the new Princess Cruises Theme
song and video.

“Smitty” Smith: Engineer of fifty plus artist from all over the globe.
Smitty as producer and musician, myself as guitarist, keyboardist. Lenny Castro
and Ian Wallace on drums and percussion, Bernie Larson on guitar, keyboards,
steel, vocals, percussion, co-producer with Smitty on many projects. Bernie
Larson produced John Goodwin, artist album and I as engineer at ROS mobile with
Bernie and friends, Ian MaGlagin from Faces, Philip Chen from Rod Stuart’s
Band. And multiple players for Bruce Hornsby bands.
Paul Larson: Engineer-Producer-Musician-Composer-Editor. Paul Larson is a very
talented singer-songwriter that I continue to work. His style is that of James
Taylor and John Denver but with a surprisingly distinctive sound of his own with
strong and powerful lyrical messages and fantastic guitar melodies.

some of the worst weather on the planet is part of everyday climbing

“Mountain Alaska”. Half hour show for television surrounding the Fake
Peak glaciers best explained that Dr Frederick Cook who claimed to be the first
to Summit Denali, aka Mount McKinley which proved to be a
hoax. Amazing flight production and a unbelievable first ascent of Mount
Tassels in the fake peak glacier cirque. Videographer, musical score composer,

“Denali’s Travels to Alaska”. A Journey through time as a young man
travels with his parents when they move the Talkeetna Alaska, from flights, to
Rocky Mountain nature with all the animal species found in North America, see
Grizzly bears fish and play and fight to be the alpha male while we trudge
through rivers and stream to the Great North Country.
